Hi, everyone! Spring has certainly arrived here in Annapolis and I’m thrilled that we have such beautiful sunshine and flowering trees to help us through this crazy time with the Coronavirus. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been enjoying planning outfits and looks for when this all ends and I recently purchased some jewelry that makes the perfect accessory to all of my Annapolis, preppy outfits! Nautical Notions is a small jewelry company inspired by coastal New England and preppy fashion that was started by Alexandria, a Cape Cod native who now resides in St. Petersburg. Below are the pieces I purchased and my thoughts! Unfortunately, since I’m home in quarantine right now, my dad is my only photographer and he’s still learning how to take better blog pictures 😉
(Disclosure: I purchased these pieces at a discounted price in exchange for a blog post, but these are my genuine thoughts).
Bow Pearl Bracelet
The Bow Pearl Bracelet was the piece I came across on Instagram that made me look into Nautical Notions. It’s such a darling combination of pearls and a bow of your choice that I knew it would complement many of my outfits. I chose the Hotty First Impression bow because it’s my favorite Lilly Pulitzer pattern, and I also got a Navy Gingham bow to change out which is such an Annapolis bow–I just love it! My wrist is exactly 7″ and I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly. I got one for my mom whose wrist is closer to 6.5″ and a small fit her perfectly. One thing to keep in mind–it’s a tiny bit challenging to put on, so you might need help clasping it. This is $29.99 and can be purchased here. The interchangeable bows are $8 and can be found here.
Drop Anchor Pearl Studs
Fun fact about me–I just got my ears pierced in October! Since getting them pierced, I have loved buying all sorts of earrings and experimenting with what I like. I love that these are studs and lightweight, but have just enough dangle to bring some movement! And anchors–who doesn’t love anchors?! I have an anchor hanging on my bedroom door and my dad was in the Navy so I thought it would be a fitting accessory to many of my outfits. I love the length of the posts on all of Alexandria’s earrings–I have earlobes on the thicker side and these are a great length. These are $17.99 and can be purchased here.
Tortoise Stud Earrings with Rattan Charm
I knew I wanted a pair of Alexandria’s tortoise earrings and it took me forever to pick just one pair to choose. But, I am thrilled with this pair! They might be my favorite thing out of my whole order. They have a great length, but they’re so lightweight that it just feels like I’m wearing regular studs. They also go well with so many different outfits and I love that versatility! These are $19.99 and can be purchased here. These can also be purchased with a pearl stud instead of the tortoise stud.
Lilly Pulitzer Inspired Studs–Let’s Cha Cha
I couldn’t complete my order without a pair of Lilly Pulitzer inspired earrings! Let’s Cha Cha is another one of my favorite Lilly prints so this was a no brainer–and paired with a pearl stud?! Love it! I can’t wait to wear these in downtown Annapolis with the wind blowing through my hair while I’m having some Storm Bros. Ice Cream on Ego Alley (I have really vivid images in my head, okay? Don’t judge!). At risk of sounding like a broken record, these studs are very comfortable and the posts are also a great length. They are $19.99 and can be purchased here. The print First Impressions is another option that these come in and I’ll probably be purchasing those at some point in the future, too!
Classic Sunglass Strap
Now, I didn’t purchase the Classic Sunglass Strap, yet, but I most certainly will be as soon as I can. I’ve been on the search for a sunglass strap that is less mature than many options I’ve seen, and this one is the first I’ve found that I genuinely love. Better yet, it goes so well with all of the earrings I have from Nautical Notions, now! Whenever I go to Disney, I always drive my dad crazy having to get into the backpack to switch my sunglasses and prescription glasses on and off when we go in and out of rides but this strap wouldn’t hinder my outfits while also making it so. much. easier. to be able to see! Because I’m blind as a bat….but that’s okay 🙂 This is $24.00 and can be purchased here. (Picture below is not mine, it is from the website).
Overall, I’m thrilled and can’t wait to make another purchase. Another important thing to note is that they always have free shipping, which fabulous! If you subscribe to their emailing list, you’ll get 10% off your next order. Make sure to follow them on Instagram @nautical.notions and check their bio for a coupon code 😉 Comment below with what your favorite piece of jewelry is and make sure to pin any of these pictures to Pinterest to come back to later.
