If you’re a tall girl, chances are you not only know what it’s like to have always been placed in the back of the classroom in elementary school, but you also understand the struggle of having big feet. I’m 5’10” and wear a shoe size 12M and have had bigger than average feet my whole life. Seriously, in 1st grade I was already a women’s size 6! I used to tell people that when I grew up, I was going to be a fashion designer for people with big feet. While that dream has passed, and I may have missed out on the cool light up sneakers for little kids, I worked hard to make sure I could find cute shoes for myself when I was a teenager and now in my 20s. I’ve compiled a list of the best places to find shoes if you wear a size 12 or larger. I regularly update this post as I continue to find more retailers with these sizes.

Sarah Flint-up to size 13
Sarah Flint makes beautiful, handcrafted Italian shoes in women’s sizes 4-13. These shoes are exquisite–I have never worn such a comfortable pair of booties or heels as my Sarah Flint ones (pictured are the Perfect Zip Bootie 30 which you can read more about here. Use my code SARAHFLINT-BADARBYN for $50 off your first purchase. I promise, they’re worth the price!
Vince Camuto-up to size 13
Some of my absolute favorite shoes are from Vince Camuto. They’re always trendy and stylish, but also last from season to season. It can be very challenging to find the season’s main trend in sizes 12+ sometimes, but I know that I can typically find them at Vince Camuto.
Maurices-up to size 12
I had no idea that Maurices carried shoes in size 12 until today! I was so excited to find this out because it can be hard to find relatively cheap and trendy size 12 shoes but they have some adorable options. And, they have wide and extra wide calf options for their boots. Yay for calf size inclusivity!
J.Crew–up to size 12
Talk about some classy shoes! J.Crew‘s shoe options are stunning, although they are definitely on the pricier end. They have heels, flats, mules, slippers, boots, and booties. These tartan pumps are absolutely gorgeous and so perfect for any holiday outfits you’re planning. J.Crew isn’t a store I typically shop at but I definitely need to keep them in mind for shoes!
Otto + Ivy–sizes 10-14
Otto + Ivy was started by Laura who is a tall and big footed woman who recognized a gap in the shoe market. These Otto + Ivy shoes are created specially for larger feet and tall women to support our bodies best! Their shoes are made in sizes 10-14 or UK sizes 42-46. I love that these aren’t just “small shoes made bigger” and are handmade and designed all by Laura!
Lonia–sizes 10-15
Lonia was founded in 2015 and specializes in shoes sizes 10-15. Y’all, they have some cute options! They have boots, mules, flats, sandals, and pumps and they’re all very trendy.
Onlymaker–up to size 15
Onlymaker sells shoes in sizes 5-15 and has so many cute styles to choose from. They have high heels, mid heels, flats, boots, and various heel heights. Onlymaker has a substantial amount of heels, though, so if you’re looking for some killer heels for outfits, Onlymaker is the place to go!
ModCloth–up to size 12
You probably know ModCloth for their whimsical and quirky clothing options, but did you know they have shoes, too? Admittedly, they don’t have many options but any options are good options when you have big feet, right? Be sure to check back often to check out their options!
Eloquii–up to size 13W
Eloquii is a plus size retailer with beautiful and fashion forward clothes, but they also have shoes! Right now they only have boots because they only stock seasonally appropriate options, but they are some very cute boots! They also come in wide width which is fantastic.
QVC–up to size 13
Ahh, shopping from your television. Although trying shoes on in person is preferable to make sure they fit right, it’s pretty hard to find 12+ in stores. I have bought many pairs of shoes from QVC and they have selections up to size 14! I always start off by “Shopping by Size” where I can choose my size and width–so 12 M for me. There are 962 results for size 12! You can check out QVC’s selection here!
Amazon–up to size 16
Honestly, what doesn’t Amazon have?! I already included a pair of TOMS from Amazon on my Top 5 Favorite Christmas gifts of 2019 so you probably already know they have shoes in size 12, in fact they have options for up to size 16–that’s incredible! Amazon has such a wide variety of shoe options that you can find a lot of different styles, plus Prime shipping is always great. Shop Amazon’s shoe selection here.
Sam Edelman–up to size 14
Sam Edelman shoes are a little pricier than some options, but are always fashion forward and good quality. My favorite pair of sandals, ever, is from Sam Edelman! They Bay Slide sandals have never given me a blister, which I truly cannot say about any other pair of shoes. They also have wonderful boot options, as well as work/office wear shoes.
Smash Shoes–sizes 10-14
Most girls I know with size 10+ feet have never heard of Smash Shoes so I like to spread the word! While they don’t have a huge inventory (only 2 pages of options) their shoes are exclusively sizes 10-14. I have owned two pair of the Jayme boot (which is no longer available), and absolutely love them. I’ve worn them so much over the last 3 years that I’ve almost worn a hole through my black pair! Smash is a great place to check if you need shoes for a night out with the girls or date night. And I love supporting a brand that is specifically catering to us!
Sperry Topsider–up to size 12
Okay, so maybe my Annapolis background is showing, but I LOVE Sperry shoes. The classic boat shoes were my uniform shoes through high school and now I wear every style I can! I own at least 5 pair of duck boots and practically live in them in the winter months, but I honestly love all of their shoes. Unfortunately, they only go up to size 12 but almost every single style comes up to a size 12. I find their shoes to be very comfortable (they are the best Disney World walking shoes , too) and love the added touch of prep to my outfits. You can shop size 12 women’s shoes here.
DSW (Journee Collection, specifically)–up to size 12
I think most people know about DSW but I want to specifically highlight the Journee Collection (and Journee Signature) which has very cute shoes at a relatively affordable price for size 12 shoes. They have a variety of styles including flats, boots, booties, heels, and mules, among others. Additionally, some of their boots come in wide calf if that’s another specification you’re looking for! It was nearly impossible to pick just one pair of shoes to showcase my example for the Journee Collection, so I highly recommend checking them out! You can shop the Journee Collection here.
Nordstrom Rack–up to size 13
Nordstrom Rack is the only place that I can find size 12 shoes in a brick and mortar store. They also have an amazing selection online! They also tend to be where I get most of my sneakers. When I just did my search, they have 607 results in size 12, 151 of those results were boots. I highly suggest taking a trip to your local Nordstrom Rack to see what they have specifically in your store. If you’re a member at Nordstrom’s you can also you use that at Nordstrom Rack to accrue reward points. You can shop Nordstrom Rack size 12 shoes here.
Stylin Brunette–up to size 12
Stylin Brunette makes the cutest slip on sneakers! They come in several different preps, all of which are colorful, bright and preppy. I personally love the pink nutcracker pair for Christmas and the pink otomi pair. Although these are pricey at $95-$99, I’m thrilled to find preppy shoes in a size 12!
Ally Shoes–up to size 12, with 4 widths
Ally Shoes makes flats and pumps and has a big focus on inclusive sizing. They offer 4 widths (narrow, regular, wide, and extra wide) in sizes 4-12. One of the best parts is that they include half sizes for the entire range of sizes. Finding shoes in size 11.5 is practically impossible! Ally Shoes is also a female created and operated business, created by Samantha Dong. She also has a podiatric expert, Dr. Roxann Clark, and designer, Sara Jaramillo. While the shoes are on the pricier end of things, many of them are made to order and you will be receiving high quality, comfortable, and inclusive shoes. If you are interested in purchasing a pair of Ally Shoes, you can use my code DARBY40 to receive $40 off your first purchase!
Tresolz–sizes 9.5-15
Tresolz is a show brand specializing specifically in large shoe sizes. One of the best things about them is that for their heels, you get to choose from two heel height options–3″ or 4″. I don’t personally love super tall heels, so I like that I get to have the style I want but with a shorter heel if that’s what I prefer. In addition to heels, they have flats, boots and booties, and sandals. Tresolz is Canadian operated and owned by Judy, a first-generation Canadian with a Jamaican family, as well. You can get 10% off your first order when you sign up for their emails.
Kat Maconie-up to size 13
If you’re looking for designer and whimsical shoes, Kat Maconie is the perfect designer for you. From unique heels to feathery designs, these are statement shoes that will be conversation starters. Sizes start at US 4 and go up to US 13.
MOMO New York–sizes 6-12
MOMO New York is a sustainable and ethical brand designed in New York and manufactured in Thailand. They are 100% fair trade and concentrate on ethically sourced fabrics such as vintage or upcycled pieces. While they have some very cute clothes, I’m absolutely in love with their shoe options! These are some of the most unique and artistic shoes I’ve come across and I’m seriously debating getting a pair myself. These Silk Flower Western Boots are absolutely stunning!
Jack Rogers-up to size 12
For all my preppy readers out there, have no fear because Jack Rogers go up to size 12 and 12W in some styles. While they’re most well known for their classic Jacks sandals, I’m also a big fan of their sneakers and their boots.
Mavette-up to size 14
Mavette makes beautifully made, Italian shoes that are meant to allow women to wear the styles they want without having to be in pain after 20 minutes. They have boots, pumps, flats, sandals, and sneakers.
Inola Ojen–sizes 7-15
Inola Ojen is a “luxury brand inspired by the founder’s inability to find a variety of shoes and styles in her extended size. She believes shoes must be fashionable, stylish, practical, functional, and at the same time feel comfortable and luxurious.”
The pair pictured below showcases the Signature talking drum heel, which “was created as a symbol of and rhythm of personal expression. The talking drum is a communication device common to many tribes across West Africa. It uses the rhythms and intonations of spoken words to convey messages.”
Privileged–sizes 5.5-12
Privileged is the *go to* place if you’re looking for extremely trendy shoes! Seriously, I don’t think I’m cool enough for their shoes! They have everything from boots to heels to flats to platforms. They’re fairly affordable with most shoes being below $100.
More options than you thought, huh?
