Hi, friends! Today I’m sharing a small spring haul with you featuring pieces from LOFT, who has had some amazing sales lately! I bought all of this during the 50% off sale, and they have consistently had 40, 50, or 60% off sales over the last two weeks so keep your eye out and I’m sure you’ll be able to shop a sale. The best part of this is everything I’m showing you comes in both regular/straight sizing and plus sizing! Showing you brands that are size inclusive is important to me, so LOFT is quickly becoming one of my new favorites. The links below are affiliate links, so if you purchase using one of my links, I will make a small commission at no extra cost to you. Let’s get started!
Tie Hem Sweater
I saw this sweater and thought it would go so well with my Lilly Pulitzer bottoms, especially for when it’s cooler and I want to wear a sweater. I ordered it in a 16/18 in the Marina Heather. While it fits just fine, it isn’t quite as oversized as I typically like my clothes. Perhaps I should have listened to the reviews because overall it’s rated as fitting on the smaller side. That being said, I still think it’s a darling sweater and I’ll definitely be keeping it! The tie at the bottom gives it just enough character and I love that the neckline is high enough for a statement necklace without feeling like it’s suffocating me. If turtle necks bother you, I don’t think this will–the neck is quite stretchy. This sweater also comes in hot pink and grey in straight sizes. You can purchase this sweater here.
Tie Waist Cargo Shorts and Eyelet Split Neck Shell
Last summer I started wearing these style of shorts and I love them! They’re so comfortable but they’re dressier than just athletic shorts. So when I saw these, I knew they’d be coming home with me. I’ve been trying to expand upon my typical color scheme (pink, purple, and maroon) and I thought this was a good place to start. The blue background with floral print makes me think of wild flower fields and summer breeze. I really debated over which to size to order these in, I was torn between a straight size XXL or a plus size 16. Ultimately I went with XXL, and I’m glad I did! They fit really nicely and have some extra room in the waist still so that I don’t feel like I’m being suffocated. You can purchase these shorts here. (And if you like this print, you can get it in a tank top version here!)
I’ve also been trying to be more aware of the tops I’m buying for the warmer months. I have an obscene amount of tee shirts but not many blouses and shirts like I do in the fall and winter. I’m really loving all of the eyelet I’ve been seeing this spring so I just searched “eyelet” on LOFT and came across plenty of options. I chose the Eyelet Split Neck Shell because it was full coverage and still like a tee shirt on the bottom without sacrificing a more polished neck. I ordered this in the straight size XXL and am pleased with the fit. I was worried it would be too short and boxy, but I think it’s a good length. You might consider it a bit boxy but as I’ve said before, I don’t like things to be too form fitting on me. You can order this here (and in other colors!).
Beach Eyelet Drawstring Pants & Ruffle Split Neck Top
Frankly, this entire outfit is outside of my comfort zone but it’s good to try new things! On the top, I’m wearing the Ruffle Split Neck Top in Forever Navy. It is so unbelievably soft and smooth! I don’t love how much arm this shows, but I’m trying to accept all parts of me. Work in progress, am I right? This shirt would be great for more formal, business attire, especially paired with a blazer or cardigan. It also will pair nicely with my Lilly Pulitzer bottoms, like a Colette skort. You can purchase this ruffle split neck top here.
When I saw these Beach Eyelet Drawstring Pants, I really wanted to try them! If you know me, you know I never wear bottoms that aren’t skinny fit or leggings. Straight leg or flare jeans do not exist in my closet at all! But the model looked so cute that I decided to give them a try. They’re very flowy, and easy breezy but I kind of love it! I don’t think these would work with a tee shirt without looking a bit frumpy, but if styled correctly, these are a valuable piece to have in your closet. I ordered these in XXL in the straight sizes and could have sized down to an XL. I had them tied as tight as they could and there was still extra space around my waist. I might wear them lower on my hips to make up the extra room, but the length might not work as well then. Again, the reviews echoed how I felt that they run big, so I do suggest sizing down on these. You can purchase these eyelet drawstring pants here.
This was my first real purchase from LOFT and I’m definitely happy with what I ordered and am glad to have some new staple pieces in my closet to pull from. Have you ordered from LOFT before? Comment below and let me know which outfit is your favorite!
