I don’t know about you, but shopping for my dad is always the hardest thing! He doesn’t care about clothes, shoes, accessories, or anything like that, and he doesn’t have hobbies like fishing or hunting or something that requires equipment. I know he will like whatever I get him because I’m the one who got it, but I still like to try to come up with thoughtful gifts. If you also struggle to pick out gifts for Father’s Day, then hopefully this gift guide will help you! (This article may contain affiliate links)
Okay, we know I really love the boutique here in Annapolis, Whimsicality. They even have great gifts for Father’s Day! I really love this Swig coffee mug that has texture like a golf ball. It’s great whether your dad drinks coffee or not! You can find it here ($38.50). Another great option from Whimsicality is the wooden map of the Annapolis area, it would be a great addition to an office or man cave. There are several different options, including Cape St. Claire and the Chesapeake, as well as color options so be sure to check it out ($42.50).
My dad isn’t exactly a Lilly Pulitzer type guy, but I really love these swim trunks–in fact, I already ordered them for him in Blue Ibiza Aqua Vista! I think these are a great way to get your dad some coordinating Lilly pieces, plus they’re perfect for the upcoming warmer months! You can find them in two different prints for $88. If you think the swim trunks are a little foo-foo for your dad, then maybe try a silk tie. They’re absolutely gorgeous and can be styled to be a subtler touch of Lilly with a nice crisp suit. At $88, it comes in 3 different prints.
Sperry’s are another one of my go-to’s for my dad. He can wear his foot inserts with them and they look so much better than clunky dad sneakers–I think we all know what I’m talking about. This year, I got these Bionic red, white, and blue boat shoes. The Bionic pairs are made from recycled plastic bottles, so that’s a win. These are a bit pricey at $99, but I think Sperry’s are worth the money. And maybe it’s just my dad, but the patriotic colors go nicely with his wardrobe! I also suggest these flip-flops–you get the comfort and quality of Sperry’s in a summer shoe which is great for lounging around or doing small household chores. These are currently on sale for $83.
My dad was a boy scout and used to go camping all of the time. Now, he’s got two city girls (me and my mom) so his camping days are a bit non-existent. But, we still love to make s’mores in the backyard. A firepit is a fun thing to gift your dad that will get him outside to relive his boy scout days, while still including the whole family! This one from Lowes is $149 and is terrific if you aren’t looking for something super fancy, but still durable. The ledge is great to set down a drink or snacks, too. And just in case you need some s’mores sticks, here’s a great set from L.L Bean for $19.99!
My dad has an Apple Watch 5 (it was his Father’s Day gift to himself) so I wanted to get him some additional watch bands to go with it. He’s a big Patriots fan so I love this one from Bed Bath and Beyond ($29.99). They have the other NFL teams, too. I also wanted to get him one that was a little less casual, though, that he could wear to work or functions without having to take his Apple Watch off. I particularly like this leather one from Etsy that’s currently on sale for $46.75.
I hope this gives you some ideas of things to get the father figure in your life! They’re such special people and I’m sure anything you get them will make them smile. Don’t forget to subscribe to my email list to stay up-to-date on everything!
