So you’re going to Disney World–that’s so exciting! And as much as you want to stay in the moment and stay off your phone, you probably also want to take some photographs to capture your vacation memories. As a life-long Disney lover, I have come to like some spots better than others for my Disney pictures. Although I haven’t gone to Disney as many as other people, my 20-something trips add up to some experience I like to think! So let’s get started, here are the best/cutest photo ops in Disney World (in my opinion):
Bubblegum Wall (EPCOT)
The Bubblegum Wall can be found outside of Spaceship Earth. The hot pink, blue, and bubblegum pink wall is a vibrant and bright backdrop that has become pretty iconic in Disney instagrammers’ feeds. Strike a pose and let the bubblegum vibes help you showcase your Disney vibes.
Magic Kingdom Train Station
The Train Station is an iconic location at both Disneyland and Disney World, it’s such a classic background that includes the beautiful landscaping of Disney, nostalgia of Main Street, U.S.A and any of the holiday decors if you’re visiting during a holiday. If you time it right, you can have a totally empty photo which is always nice.
Tangled Lantern (Magic Kingdom)
I’m sure you don’t expect to take photos at a restroom pavilion, but the Tangled restrooms in Magic Kingdom are the most beautiful restrooms you will ever see. Once it gets dark out, Disney sets up a photopass opportunity where you get to hold one of the lanterns that Rapunzel watches on her birthday every year. As a Tangled lover, I was THRILLED when this became a photo opportunity. The photographers were so patient and made sure my family got all the combinations of photos we wanted and that the lantern was positioned well. The line for this gets pretty long so make sure if this a must do, you plan your evening to be able to do this since it’s only available when it’s dark out.
Morocco Pavillion (EPCOT)
In the Morocco Pavilion, the architecture is breathtaking. The mosaics, the lanterns, the sounds, it all comes together to be such a fully immersive experience. Near the back of the pavilion, there is a mosaic tiled water fountain that makes for a beautiful backdrop, especially if you want a photo that is subtly Disney and not the classic castle or Mickey picture. If you want something a little naughtier, there is a phallic wall in this pavilion, too, but you didn’t hear that from me 😉
Mary Poppins Topiary (Grand Floridian)
The Grand Floridian is my family’s favorite hotel and I’ve stayed here for almost every one of my Disney trips. It’s the flagship resort and is an elegant Victorian themed hotel. The Character Meal, 1900 Park Fare, has characters like Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Pooh Bear (and others). There are subtle Mary Poppins touches throughout the resort, one of which is one of my favorite photo spots. If you are facing the hotel, there is a small courtyard to the left of the entrance with flowers, bushes, and topiaries. In the middle, Mary Poppins is poised with her umbrella ready to fly to Cherry Tree Lane. It’s a darling little spot and one of my favorite, lesser known spots.
Bonus: Minnie Mouse at the Plaza Inn in Disneyland
I decided to throw one Disneyland photo spot in. There were lots of really adorable photo spots in Disneyland, but meeting Minnie at the Plaza Inn was one of my favorites. It wasn’t anything fancy, but the atmosphere was perfect and Minnie was very interactive.
Those are some of my favorite photo spots in Disney World. Did I leave your favorite off? Comment below and let me know your go-to spot or one you’re looking forward to trying!
