Your heart is racing. You have an overall uneasy feeling. Your mind is racing. Your jaw is clenched. Sound familiar? Yeah, way too many of us are familiar with anxiety! I am definitely an advocate for going to therapy and getting medicated if that’s what your doctor suggests, but I also personally lean into my faith when I’m feeling particularly anxious. Sometimes I play “Bible Roulette” and see where the Holy Spirit leads me, but sometimes I go to my tried and true verses. So here are some Bible quotes about anxiety to go back to!
Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Psalm 121:1-2 – “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Romans 15:13 – “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit”
Isaiah 26:3 – “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you”
Psalm 94:19 -“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
Romans 8: 38-39 – “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
1 Corinthians 7:32 – “I want you to be free from anxieties.”
(This one is my favorite! Literally God saying He wants us to feel peace, not anxiety)
1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
Matthew 6:34 – “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Psalm 34: 17 – “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
I hope these Bible quotes bring you some peace and comfort. You are not alone, you are loved, and you were created in the image and likeness of God. Please share any other Bible verses that are meaningful to you below!

These are sweet 🙂 thanks for sharing!
I love the verses from Romans 8. I think it would be helpful for anyone to memorize these scriptures.
Yes, they’re great to always keep in the back of your mind!
